About Us

The Arete Circle is the first professional association for classically educated graduates. We serve students, professionals, and entrepreneurs pursuing careers or ventures beyond academia and politics. We love teachers and those working in government. However, we are committed to building an American business culture oriented toward Truth and driven by excellence, and we think the best way to do that is by supporting classically educated professionals working in private companies, nonprofits, small businesses, and the like.

The Arete Network is designed for classically educated professionals who are not in academia or politics. We believe a classical education is the best possible, period. We want to help current and upcoming professionals connect with each other to help each other, with whatever they might need.

Arete Ventures focuses on ventures in the very beginning stages. Moonshots are absolutely welcome. We love side hustles, garage projects, and napkin ideas, and we think startups of any size and shape should have the opportunity to make their pitch. Want to run your own nonprofit? Launch a SaaS company? Invent a new artistic style? Own your own small business? Start a podcast? Then you're in the right place. Arete MBA

Bridging the gap between a rigorous classical education and a successful business career.

The Arete MBA program is meant for young professionals looking to break into the business world without an expensive (and often unnecessary) MBA. We think most MBA programs can be replaced with a rigorous reading schedule and a robust network. Building on the rich foundation of a classical education, the Arete MBA will offer students a straightforward, flexible, and inexpensive (!) way to gain a fuller understanding of the fundamentals of business. Graduates of the program will gain access to employment and internship opportunities with companies looking for excellence-driven talent.
